Basically the Whole Month of January...

Wow, just a little while ago, I was saying that I would blog more frequently. It's been, what, a month since I last blogged? I really kept that promise... Well, I guess I must say "Happy New Year" - although the year is already almost a month in. I'd like to say that I was busy with school work and Science Olympiad (which I was), but it's probably more that I have been lazy than anything else. So far, this year has been going pretty well. Two weeks ago was my semester exams, and I got all "A's"!! In chemistry, I only got one question wrong (granted, it was supposedly an easy one), and in French, I got 99.9% - although I'm not sure how my teacher got that grade, because I got four or so questions wrong. Maybe she rounded up. Surprisingly, my hardest exam was probably art. I don't know if it was because I was just really prepared (and I mean really) for all my other exams, and not so much for that one, but I was actually stumped by some of the questions on that test. After all the time and effort and worry I put into studying for said exams, I was really happy when I saw that I got all "A's". This year was also the first time that our school district had full days for the exams. We used to take both exams, and then go home around 11 AM - a half day. But this year, they decided to have full days; we would have one hour of studying before each exams, and then take the two hour exams, and then repeat for another hour. I really hope that next year they go back to half days because I was exhausted by the end of the week - and it was a four-day week. And then on Friday, my sister and I stayed after school to recycle with Green Group (I don't know if I've talked about that, but it is a school group where we recycle bottles and paper every week and every other week, respectively) and this was the week for paper. No joke, we went from a empty bin (it's huge) to full-to-the-brim. We were joking that it was going to say "Congratulations, you've recycled 2 rainforests." After we finished at around 4:45 PM (school gets out at 2:27 PM), we tried to start the car and the key got stuck. When we finally pulled it out, it wouldn't go back in. Apparently the battery was dead, but we didn't know that. We left the car at school (my dad picked us up) because we needed to get home for a Science Olympiad practice, and then my dad and sister picked it up later that night (the brought jumper cables). Anyway, other than that, my life has been pretty boring. I've watched some movies that I wanted to see, including Letters to Juliet, Social Network, and I re-saw Easy A - which is soooo funny; if you haven't seen it already, I urge you to do so immediately! Next Saturday is a Science Olympiad meet for both high school and middle school, so my mom, sister and I are going to the high school event, while my dad and brother are going to the middle school one. Since our event is about 2 hours and 3 minutes away, we're going to leave on Friday and stay the night. We've also decided to stay an extra night and see this museum exhibit on Princess Diana on Sunday. Should be fun! Farewell, my faithful readers!
